Beautiful Spaces

Here are a couple photos that made me smile during this wonderfully hectic weekend. The spaces are beautiful and serene.

House Tour: The Hunted Interior

As of lately I have a new favorite blogger home. The Hunted Interior. I'm sure you've seen her around town, but I have to share her home since I've been ogling over it for months and months and months. Her home feels alive. Looking at the photos of her home, I feel like I can feel the movement and life of this home. Kristin Jackson is the fabulous blogger/designer behind this home and has talent indeed. She uses color without feeling like you just stepped into a crayola factory. Her home feels mature, yet comfy cozy. Just the kind of place I could live. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Be sure to check out her blog! She has some fantastic tutorials to share as well as more of this fabulous home.

HELP!

So I need some help. I've finally received permission to paint the cabinets in my kitchen. Yes permission. This is a huge improvement from when we moved in. "Your painting the wood in this house over my dead body." Remember this post? So. HUGE milestone for The Hubs. Anywho. WHAT COLOR!?! My initial reaction is the obvious choice. White. My major hesitation? My pink counters. Have a look.
(don't judge. this is before we moved in. hadn't painted or replaced flooring yet.)

See my problem? Right now they aren't THAT noticeable. If I paint the cabinets, however, they'll stand out like a nun in a bar. Because the kitchen is the LAST thing on our Honey-Do list, replacing them isn't an option yet. We'll do that when we can renovate the whole kitchen. So. Do I embrace them and go with white? Leave them cause it's better that they don't stand out? Do something like grey or a color? I need help.

Kitchen Renno

I totally wish that this post was about MY kitchen Renno! You would probably feel the same if you remember my BEFORE photo.

Pink counters anyone? Anywho. . . I came across this amazing kitchen renovation by Jennifer at The Old Painted Cottage. The horrendousness of the Before pictures of her kitchen are a little reminiscent of the horrendousness of my kitchen, but her AFTER photos are fabulous!   I can only hope that when we eventually get around to updating ours, that the results will be just as satisfying. See for yourself.

I feel like every detail was thought through, down to the craft caddy that she used for her silverware. The details make me smile bigger each time I see them.

*Yes, I am aware that horrendousness was fabricated by my own fabulousness!

What do you love/hate about your kitchen?
