This is my first attempt at an actual mood board so forgive me if it seems a bit amateurish. I feel like I’m finally making progress on my Master since my color revelation. I can’t wait to put my vision to the test. What do you think?

Blouse to Room

I found this great blouse on ModCloth.

 I can’t get past the color combination. This season, mixing colors and patterns is all the rage and this blouse is a great example of the colors of Summer. It got me thinking (I know, STOP EVERYTHING) this would look great in a room. I put together a collection of some great rooms using these colors.

Ever since I first saw Kirsten Krason's living room with this fabulous fabric, I kinda became its stalker. It's beautiful! My plan is to eventually have a couple panels either in my room or the family room. Who knows, maybe BOTH! Here are a few other places I've seen this beauty show up. Enjoy!

Navy Blue Velvet

After reading this post at Elements of Style, I instantly fell in love with Navy Blue Velvet!!! What's NOT to love? It's navy blue. It's velvet. Nough said.

 I knew that I liked it before, but this time, something clicked! A plush chair covered in decadent Navy blue velvet to snuggle up with a lush throw under a gold lamp to read a book on a stormy night, would be the perfect addition to my master retreat. I came up with this idea board and overall, I like the look.  Actually I LOVE the look. It has just enough of everything to make it a good eclectic balance. Now I just need to put it all together!

 I've got a good start with the nightstand, and part of the bedding. I suppose you have to start somewhere, right?
